Marilyn Monroe was reported to wear nothing in bed, except the well-known fragrance Chanel No.5. She and countless other beautiful actresses have endorsed the famous French fashion house’s scent. However, times change and now the new face of the perfume is Brad Pitt.
The actor and director becomes the first ever male endorsee of the brand in its 90 year history, following in the wake of Marilyn Monroe and Catherine Deneuve. He replaces Nicole Kidman, who was unveiled as the face of Chanel No.5 in 2003. According to online news reports, Brad Pitt, who is 48 years old, will be paid a seven-figure sum for the endorsement campaign.
Brad Pitt and his fiancée, Angelina Jolie, who is 36, have bought a house in the beautiful, leafy, south west London suburb of Richmond, where they and their six children will be based during the advertising campaign. According to the Sun, the property is called Whornes Place and they rented it last summer for £30,000 per month, while Pitt was filming World War Z, his zombie movie.
The property has 15th century beams, a garden featuring topiary elephants and an indoor pool. A source said that their plan is to stay there for three years, whilst Brad and Angelina both complete their filming commitments.
Brad and Angelina are both said to be very affectionate about the UK, so this is a sensible investment for them. A close source has said that they like the British culture and would be happy for their six children to have their schooling here.
Brad and Angelina both think that Richmond is a stunning part of the world and Brad hopes he can have some fun and see the Stone Roses in concert at Heaton Park in Manchester this summer, while Angelina is filming.
