Cheap & Chic, the fashion line by Moschino, is moving its fashion show to London for the 2012 shows that are due to take place in winter and autumn. The line is having a show in late February at a location that is yet to be disclosed, but it is the first show taking place outside of Milan.
Many people are quite surprised at the announcement of the move, but it seems that it has been on the cards for the brand the sometime. The creative director has said, “The move to London has been something that I’ve been considering for sometime. We are hoping that the move to London will bring the line to a younger crowd and give it a different personality from some of the other clothing lines in our collections.”
This is good news for the British Fashion Council which is currently struggling in the organisation of London Fashion Week because of complications with schedules. This year, it seems as if the fashion weeks in New York, Milan and London are going to overlap and this is something that all organisers are having to battle with. The dates have not yet been confirmed for the September shows yet however.
