It has just been announced that the fashion week in London, which is taking place in February next year, is going to be sponsored by Vodafone UK. This is another move by the company to become more closely tied in with the fashion industry.
Previously, Vodafone UK has been the headline sponsor for the British fashion awards as well as London Fashion Weekend. The partnership will be continuing for seven seasons and those who are customers of the Vodafone network will be able to get closer to emerging trends than ever before. They will be able to see London fashion week in February as it unfolds. Previously, the company has been involved with the week as the official communications sponsor.
Customers on the Vodafone network will have the opportunity to win tickets to many of the catwalk shows that are going on at Somerset house at the BFC Catwalk Show Space. All Vodafone customers will be able to access a viewing platform which is exclusive to them and will mean they get a great view of the catwalk. There is also a VIP lounge available to Vodafone customers so they get a more exclusive experience of the fashion event.
The Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council is Caroline Rush and she has commented, “Vodafone is a mobile network that really understands innovation and this partnership with fashion week, and the various other fashion events, is going to be supporting the latest designer talent. It will also provide an unmatched opportunity for its customers to get involved with the event.”
Danielle Crook is the branding director of Vodafone in the UK and she has said, “Our research tells us that our customers are really into fashion and among many of them it is a passion. We are very excited to be extending our partnership with the event and we know that it will allow us access to the real heart of the fashion world in the UK.”
